Mae Sot

is a colorful multi-ethnic market town at the Thai-Burmese border. It is surrounded by mountainous jungle wit many National Parks. It is known for its bordertrade, but hasn't been discovered yet by tourism.It has a high percentage of Burmese people and some people call it "Little Burma".
It can be reached by air (Nok Air) or by direct busses from many towns in Northern Thailand and of course from Bangkok. It has many guest houses, hotels, cafes and restaurants, even swimming pools. Its climate is mild and sunny. It is the perfect destination for active people, who love to discover the surroundings and great for cycling.
